Department of Psychological Counseling and Behavior Modification (Mental Health)
1-The Department of Psychological Counseling and Behavior Modification is one of the educational departments in the Faculty of Education at the American Open University. It is based on guidance, counseling, and psychological treatment, as well as everything related to the human being, his psychological health, and the characteristics of the student’s psychologically healthy personality while he is performing his teaching profession. The department continues to carry out its mission in preparing teachers in the field of mental health.
2- Changing the methods of evaluating students in academic subjects so that they move away from the memorization method and rely on comprehension questions, innovative thinking, and multiple solutions to a single issue.
3- Amending the curricula so that their objectives are in line with the objectives of the strategic plan for science, technology and innovation.
4- Teaching a course in developmental psychology to high school and university students (all requests) to prepare future mothers and fathers and provide them with the skills to form a healthy family, because healthy family upbringing ensures the preparation of strong, independent generations - confident in themselves - who bear responsibility and stay away from all forms of deviation.
5- Focusing on early discovery of talented and innovative individuals and working on developing them in various fields.

Department of Comparative Education
The Department of Comparative Education at Aswan University seeks to teach some courses for undergraduate students (bachelor's), and also at the level of professional qualification beyond the non-educational bachelor's level. It offers professional diploma programs (equivalent to a bachelor's degree in education) and develops a master's program in educational administration and supervision.

Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods
The Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods is one of the main departments in the College of Education, and a fundamental pillar of the educational process. The department seeks to spread knowledge and science through the programs it offers at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (Masters and PhD) to prepare a distinguished learner who has the ability to deal with the educational system in general and the learner in particular at the professional, human and academic levels in all specializations. The department includes a significant number of distinguished curricula and teaching methods experts, and thus qualifies them to prepare distinguished educators with competence in this field, starting from the undergraduate level to the doctoral level, who have the ability to face educational challenges and problems and provide appropriate solutions for them

Special Education Department
The Bachelor of Special Education program is one of the specializations of the College of Educational Sciences, and it is the first specialization; as it was approved by the National Authority for Accreditation and Quality and Quality of Higher Education Institutions / Ministry of Education and Higher Education at the beginning of the academic year. This specialization comes in response to the needs of the labor market, in light of the increasing interest in people with special needs.
This specialization aims to graduate teachers and special education specialists to work with people with disabilities, and provide services to them in several fields. The university provides specialized, qualified and experienced faculty members in the field of special education, and employs technology and contemporary teaching and learning strategies in teaching and training students.
