The Bachelor of Special Education program is one of the specializations of the College of Educational Sciences, and it is the first specialization; as it was approved by the National Authority for Accreditation and Quality and Quality of Higher Education Institutions / Ministry of Education and Higher Education at the beginning of the academic year. This specialization comes in response to the needs of the labor market, in light of the increasing interest in people with special needs.
This specialization aims to graduate teachers and special education specialists to work with people with disabilities, and provide services to them in several fields. The university provides specialized, qualified and experienced faculty members in the field of special education, and employs technology and contemporary teaching and learning strategies in teaching and training students.
Work fields for a graduate of the Department of Special Education:
A graduate of the Department of Special Education becomes able and qualified to work as a teacher, specialist, consultant, supervisor, guide or specialist in vocational rehabilitation for people with special needs in the following institutions:
Governmental, such as: working in the Ministries of Education, Social Affairs, Health, and Labor.
International and semi-governmental organizations and institutions, such as: the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), the Red Crescent, the Red Cross, UNICEF, UNESCO…etc.
Charity, such as: special education associations.
Private, such as: schools and civil centers, which provide special education services.
Private work, such as: opening a center or association that cares for people with special needs.
Adult care homes.
Early intervention centers and hospitals, an early intervention specialist in nurseries and kindergartens and a family guide in early intervention centers and hospitals.
Shelter and day care centers.

Supply society with specialized human cadres in the field of special education; to provide the best educational, professional and research practices for people with disabilities, and develop their capabilities and energies and invest them in a way that enables them to integrate and interact positively in society.
Enabling them with modern strategies and their applications in the field of special education.
Enabling them with the educational, psychological and social needs of people with disabilities, and increasing community awareness of the importance of this category of students and individuals.
Gaining them with scientific research skills in the field of special education, which contributes to raising the level of special education services provided to people with special needs.
Gaining them with effective practices in the field of dealing with people with disabilities.
Develop their skills in using computer programs in the field of special education.
Deepen their knowledge of teaching strategies and methods appropriate for each category of students with disabilities, and for each case.
